At today’s project meeting we agreed this title for my Brontë Parsonage Museum exhibition in the autumn. It’s taken from an entry in poet Sylvia Plath’s Journal, where she’s writing about her visit to Top Withens in 1956. So, a literary reference, but not one that many people will know. Exhibition dates: 28 September – 3 December 2012
The exhibition will fall into 3 parts: my videos installed in some of the historic rooms, a photographic display in the foyer created by the community groups I’m working with, and a display of photographs and drawings of Top Withens through the last century that will be hung in the Servant’s Room at the top of the stairs.
