The photography of Tiger Thomas has not been widely exhibited. Despite – or perhaps because of – a turbulent biography Thomas’ focus remained resolutely on discovering new perspectives on familiar geography – rediscovering well worn landscapes with a breath-taking honesty. Presenting a selection of Tiger Thomas’ work in the town he photographed so carefully throughout his life, Retrospective is the simple study of one of the area’s most mysterious artists.
