Photography project at Hall Place, Bexley exploring the legacy of Arthur Boswell, a prominent local photographer and lantern lecturer
6th form photography students from Townley Grammar School worked for a week to produce a contemporary portrait of Bexleyheath using a medium format camera in sympathy with Boswell’s own methods. Black & white film was developed and printed in the school darkroom.
The pictures were displayed at Hall Place Museum alongside the exhibition Illuminated World, October 2012 – March 2013 that showcased Boswell’s rich collection of lantern slides
