I have been exploring the work of Jay Appleton, Emeritus Professor of Geography at the University of Hull, whose 1975 book The Experience of Landscape offers an evolutionary explanation for our appreciation of the land and natural beauty.
Jay has written an article about the two Wuthering Heights houses in terms of his habitat theories, and we are planning to include it in the exhibition catalogue for the BPM Top Withins display.
